Print Helper
The Print Helper is responsible for assisting in production activities associated with machine set-up, operation, clean-up and storing of inks and printing forms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare printing forms according to production plan
- Prepare printing forms and place them at the print line according to production plan
- Prepare printing inks for each print job
- Prepare/cut the cores for each print job
- Clean printing forms for next run
- Store the printing forms systematic
- Store/outsource printing inks
- Help do miscellaneous tasks as necessary
- Keep work areas safe and clean at all times
- Use computers as needed to run process operation
- Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving in the production
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the production area
- Make decisions within the scope of competence
- Work in a quality conscious manner
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a printing and/or production environment, preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer experience required. Microsoft Office, Excel, and Microsoft AX experience, preferred.
- Availability to work in shift models (24/5 // 24/7 – on 8 or 12 hour shifts)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and to assist in other departments if necessary
Additional Requirements
- Must be certified to operate forklift
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Required to have near/far vision and acute hearing
- Physical activity required including frequent bending, lifting, and standing during the work time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must adhere and comply with high hygiene standard (e.g. hair nets required and jewelry is not allowed)
