Print Specialist

We are searching for a Print Specialist to join our growing company located in Asheboro, North Carolina.  Fibertex Personal Care is a global company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of spunbond/spunmelt nonwoven fabrics for the Personal Care industry, supplying products that are key components in baby diapers and adult incontinence and feminine care products.  Through our Innowo Print brand, we possess a unique print technology, which is the core business operation in Asheboro, North Carolina.

Position Summary

The Print Specialist is responsible for taking large rolls of non-woven material from the finished goods warehouse to the rewind machine, operate the rewind machine to cut out defects, splice rolls together, stretch wrap the roll, and return it to the finished goods warehouse. Rewind Specialist are responsible for verifying quality of rolls to ensure the highest quality product for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect quality of printed rolls for print and material defects
• Remove materials with defects
• Splice rolls
• Store material systematically in the warehouse
• Assist in production activities associated with machine clean-up
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at the rewind machine
• Utilize computer to enter and obtain material information and document all transactions in an ERP-System
• Prepare/cut the cores
• Carry out various quality tests
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Use computers as needed to run process operation
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
• Work in a quality conscious manner
• Adhere and comply with high hygiene standard (e.g. hair nets required and jewelry is not allowed) with proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the production area.

What you need to succeed at Fibertex Personal Care

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a rewind operator or print machine operator, preferably with flexographic printing
• Ability to pass a vision and color test
• Basic computer experience required. Microsoft Office, Excel, and Microsoft AX experience, preferred
• Ability to work in shift models (24/7 – 12 hour shifts)
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and to assist in other departments if necessary
• Must be willing to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, if necessary
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Physical activity required including frequent bending, lifting, and standing during the work time
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and full range of movement to do work inside and on the machine
• Punctuality and regular attendance is an essential function.
