Responsible wastewater treatment

The amount of untreated wastewater (effluent) generated inside our Malaysian premises and sent to external facilities for treatment/recovery was at 120 ton/month some years back. The effluent had the potential to be released accidentally into the municipal drainage system causing contamination to the environment.

As we are committed to protect the environment it was decided to install a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in-house. Here the effluent from production goes through a series of treatments and effluents are condensed into concentrated waste.

A significant positive environmental impact was achieved after installing the WWTP as the amount of waste sent to external treatment facilities was reduced by 75%.
