When the first cases of corona virus appeared, we were acting quickly to support authorities and our industry to fight the Covid-19. Our nonwoven material can be used in the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as head covers, face masks and jumpsuits and we were committed to contribute in this serious situation.
We actively decided to prioritise allocating capacity to meet this new and urgent demand. To acquire knowledge about the demands for this application and industry we worked determinedly and quickly. Through collaboration with partners representing industry, designers, academic, entrepreneurs, NGO’s and volunteers – and converters of PPE, we succeeded.
Through these collaborations and partnerships, we have donated nonwovens equivalent to 5,000 gowns and 100,000 head covers to the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Malaysia. Our nonwovens fabric has reached out to more than 100 hospitals and clinics. To support the front liners and our society in general, we have accepted to continuously supply nonwovens for PPE to the Ministry of Health (MOH) during the Covid-19 pandemic.
